Featured Photo: Distracted Bird (Florida Everglades National Park, USA)

Birds in the Everglades split their time between fishing for lunch and avoiding the featured spot on an alligator’s menu. Everglades National Park is a World Heritage Site and worth including in a south Florida adventure.

  1. After I saw the name of this article I thought it might be good for those who will read the article to find a list of names of birds in the Everglades. I searched in google and found these species: Anhinga, Smooth-Billed Ani, Red Shouldered Hawk, Common Nighthawk,Great egrets, Ovenbird, Bobolink, Limpkin, Boat-tailed Grackle, Pileated Woodpecker, White Ibis, Ring-Necked Duck, Purple Gallinule, Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, Whooping Crane. I started reading about each one and they are wonderful.
